The Foundation for Environment and Development in Cameroon (FEDEC) is a trust fund of Dutch law created in March 2001 and registered at the Chamber of Commerce of the Hague in the Netherlands. It enjoys a right of residence in Cameroon, granted on 26 December 2006 by a partnership protocol granting it customs and tax advantages.<\/p>

The FEDEC is a provision of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) Vol. 4 (1999) for the Pipeline project supported and sustained by the World Bank, the Government of Cameroon and the Cameroon Oil Transport Company (operator of the Pipeline).     1. Biodiversity conservation areas <\/strong>\nFour national parks are directly concerned by FEDEC: Campo Ma'an,\nMbam et Djerem, Deng Deng and Val\u00e9e du Mb\u00e9r\u00e9. The forest landscape covered by FEDEC support therefore represents a surface area of around 826,607 hectares\nor 1\/5 of the total surface area of protected areas in Cameroon.<\/li>\n \t
