Context
The Cameroon Foundation for Environment and Development was established in 2001 as part of the Chad-Cameroon pipeline. Its objective is to provide long-term financial support for biodiversity conservation and sustainable development activities in local communities. It operates in two main areas: an environmental component aimed at biodiversity conservation and a social component aimed at improving the living conditions of local populations.
As part of its social component, FEDEC has been running a program called the Plan for Vulnerable Indigenous Peoples (PPAV) since 2002. The target population of the program is the Bakola/Bagyeli community located 2 km on either side of the Chad-Cameroon pipeline route between Kribi, Bipindi and Lolodorf. In 2021, a five-year plan 2022-2026 for the PPAV was developed in a participatory manner. It is structured around 4 components: education, health, citizenship and agriculture/income-generating activities.
Objective
This call for proposals aims to recruit a local organization or an indigenous Bakola/Bagyeli organization responsible for supporting (for one renewable year) during the 2024-2026 period of the aforementioned five-year plan, the implementation of the education, citizenship, agriculture/income-generating activities and/or health components of the Plan for Vulnerable Indigenous Peoples (PPAV).
This call for proposals is divided into four lots, namely:
- Lot 1: Education
- Lot 2: Citizenship
- Lot 3: Agriculture/AGR
- Lot 4: Health
