FEDEC works to improve the health of indigenous populations in southern Cameroon.
The most common diseases in the area are malaria and diarrheal diseases. They are also the leading causes of infant mortality. In addition to these two diseases, there are respiratory and skin diseases.
We focus our efforts on raising awareness about hygiene, teenage pregnancies, and recurring diseases or epidemics. Water points and latrines have also been installed in communities and schools in Lolodorf, Kribi, and Bipindi. We also aim to improve the care provided to Bakola/Bagyeli patients in health facilities and to develop the local expertise of traditional midwives.
