Mr. Edmond DOUNIAS
Mr. Edmond DOUNIAS’s term as FEDEC Administrator came to an end during the Board of Directors (BoD) meeting held in July 2020. The eco-anthropology expert spent seven years within the Foundation’s governing body, where his scientific and ethical stance contributed to positively influencing the development of indigenous populations. The development strategy for these peoples was developed under his supervision. The creation of the Nkuli Makeli community radio station, an awareness-raising and promotional tool for their benefit, is also part of his initiatives.
Dr. Jean Michel MIGNOT, who replaces Mr. Edmond DOUNIAS on the FEDEC Board of Directors, is a specialist in ethnolinguistics and ethnoscience. He is familiar with the country and the Chad-Cameroon pipeline project, which he worked on as the person in charge of implementing the Environmental and Social Management Plan with the Mitsui Ocean Development & Engineering Company (MODEC) between 2002 and 2003. Since 2008, he has been a social and environmental expert at the French Development Agency (AFD). He is a man steeped in experience who joins the FEDEC Board of Directors in a context where the latter is seeking to diversify its sources of funding in Cameroon.
