L’amélioration de l’accès des populations autochtones aux soins de santé est l’objectif principal du volet santé du Plan pour les Peuples Autochtones Vulnérables (PPAV). Pour atteindre cet objectif, la FEDEC collabore avec les institutions de santé et organise des missions de stratégie avancées dans les zones du projet. C’est dans ce cadre que la Fondation en partenariat avec l’association ASCOVIME, a organisé une campagne de traitement gratuit des malades à Bipindi.
La campagne s’est tenue le 22 juillet 2021 au Centre Médical d’Arrondissement de Bipindi avec l’objectif principal d’apporter des soins de santé gratuits aux populations autour de la zone de Bipindi.
Lors de cette campagne, près de 600 personnes ont bénéficié des soins, dont 120 Bakola/Bagyeli et près de 480 Bantous. 15 femmes enceintes ont reçu des kits (vêtements pour bébés, laits de toilettes, savons, shampoings, gels de douche…). 25 personnes ont subi des opérations chirurgicales de hernies et de kystes. 220 personnes souffrant de mal de yeux ont été traitées dont une centaine ont bénéficié des lunettes médicales. 268 autres personnes souffrant de maladies diverses tels que mal de dent, paludisme, maux de tête, mal d’estomac, douleur corporelle, mal de dos, diarrhée, problème de peau etc. ont toutes été soignées.
