The Foundation for the Environment and Development in Cameroon (FEDEC) is a trust fund under Dutch law established in March 2001 and registered at the Chamber of Commerce of The Hague in the Netherlands. It enjoys Cameroon’s right of siege, granted on December 26, 2006 by a partnership protocol that grants it customs and tax benefits.
FEDEC is a provision of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) Vol. 4 (1999) for the oil pipeline project supported and supported by the World Bank, the Government of Cameroon and the Cameroon Oil Transport Company (oil pipeline operator). It is recognized as a public utility by Presidential Decree No. 363 of 16 November 2001. It is a non-profit organization
