December 2020 marked the end of Professor Louis ZAPFACK’s mandate as a member of FEDEC’s Board of Directors. Throughout the seven years he served as a Director, his experience helped improve implementation of the Foundation’s programs and projects. A specialist in ecology and botany, he helped ensure the establishment of best environmental practices in Campo-Ma’an and Mbam-Djérem National Parks. A hands-on man, he worked alongside populations living near the Parks and indigenous peoples, with whom he discussed sustainable solutions likely to boost their development.
